Guests: Peter Kelderhouse joined us tonight. Rochester Ecology Partners Opportunity: At last week's meeting we were introduced to Chris Widmaier Executive Director of “Rochester Ecology Partners” as the meeting program. The program was well-received and one question posed to Chris was if he had any opportunity for our club to help with a “hands on” activity. He was quick to follow-up with an event on Thursday October 9th from Noon - 5:00pm at 143 North Union Street. They will be planting trees, preparing a garden for fall and picking up litter. If you are planning on participating, let Bob know. Pasta Dinner Planning: Bob Scheidt sent out sponsor list. Please let him know what sponsors you can pick up from those members who have left the club. Calendar: Peter Mendick is looking to have us out to the Rochester Curling Club in January or February as a social event. Did it in the past and it was a blast. Club is also planning to do another social event at Fifth Frame Brewing - timing TBD. |
Carl Ceccanti grew up on the west side of Rochester but moved to Irondequoit in 1998. Loves Irondequoit and joined Rotary because he wanted to give back to the community and for the social aspects of the club. His job at RGE NYSEG Rebate Program allows him to work mostly from home and he enjoys helping businesses with funding for their energy needs. His fiance recently retired but he wants to continue working in a job he enjoys. He has two grown boys 34 and 24 years old. His hobbies include golf, Archery, and Bow hunting.
Joey Pierleoni lives in Irondequoit and had an interest in our Pasta Dinner. He volunteered to work on the line last year. After that experience, he decided to join and has been happy with the decision. Joey was born in Rochester area and went to Gates Chili high school. He is married to Carolyn and has a 31 year old son who lives in Osh Kosh, Wisconsin. He is an accomplished drummer and played in many bands over the years and has a deep appreciation and understanding of the Rochester music scene. As a hobby, his family enjoys camping in their camper.
