Guests - Dan Gaiteri (Westside Medical Supply) And Deb Van Dieren

First official meeting of the President Steve Schwock Administration.  He filled in for Past President (Has Been) Brandon Barnhart so many times that it did not seem like anything new…

No speaker tonight so Steve wanted to bring up a couple small operational issues before the club.  He wanted to re-arrange the room so that the tables are more conducive to seeing any presentation that is being made on the TV.  We will try that next week and see how it goes.

Prez Steve also took a poll of members as to how they get info on the club calendar.  Most see it when the agenda is sent out and several others look for it on the website or the Clubrunner app.  Did not hear any suggestions on how to improve…

Next change is that he would ask the club to wait for him to introduce what we are doing (e.g., saying the pledge, singing our song, etc.) BEFORE the club starts doing it so that guests can know what is going on.  We'll see how that goes…

New Business:

13thirty Cancer Center is looking for volunteers on July 19th.  BOD voted to give them $200 for their dinner.  Anyone interested to volunteer, contact President Steve.   Hours 12-3pm.

Dues are due!  Please see Lynn Wozniak before end of the month or she will see you.

Dan Dwyer is hosting Irondequoit Garden Walks at his house and our Club will  display the garden at SeaBreeze Lighthouse.  Dan's after-party starts at 4pm-ish on Sunday 7/19.   We need volunteers to clean up Lighthouse next Thursday at 6pm.  See Dan for details.

Old Business:

4th of July Parade debrief - Lou DiPrima was frustrated but finally figured out how to start the generator to inflate inflatable just in time for the parade.  We did ok on candy this year as we ordered more and told a few offenders to be more efficient in their throws.  This year, the town tried to have a tabling event that we participated in.  It was supposed to be in the Farmers Market building.  But no one was going there.  So Lynn Wozniak and Carl Ceccanti moved our table to the entrance road.  Lynn will give feedback to town.

Camp Haccamo - our playhouse is in need of clean-up.  Ray Holla would like help this Saturday July 11 at 10am.  See Ray if you can help. He will send out separate email with more info.  Carnival Night at Camp Haccamo is Thursday, July 30 -- see Ray Holla if you want to carpool.

Social event at end of month July 29 will be the Food truck rodeo at Rochester Public Market.

Kenn’s House Clean-up - a group of members went over to clean-up the garden last week.  Did unbelievable job in 2 hrs 20 minutes.  Dick Butler, Tom Kosanke, Dave Shaheen, Ray Holla, Tony Mormino, Dave Long, and Bob Scheidt all pitched in. Good turnout and all went well.  Kenn and Deb were tremendously thankful to the support the club has given them.

Last week, in lieu of a meeting, we had a Retirement get-together for Bob Scheidt.  Bob invited his co-workers to meet with our group to get to know Rotary a little better.  Fun time.  Dick Butler presented Bob with a heartfelt card from the club.
