Business Meeting tonight.
Most people responded to President Lynn's survey to have in-person meetings only but the club's Board has decided to try and run hybrid meetings. So for the immediate future, all meetings will be in-person but also offer a zoom link so others may attend virtually or on the phone. Those on zoom will be able to hear and see the meetings but will be put on mute during the meeting. The chat box will be open for any comments by zoom attendees. This is being done to reduce the amount of "technology interference" during meetings. We'll see how it goes...
Treasurer Jason Miller reports that finances are in good shape. Only about 50% of members have paid dues so please see Jason BEFORE he needs to see you... The club's Board has decided to put $20,000 into a long range planning account for strategic projects to be determined by a newly formed Strategic Planning Committee. More on this in the near future. A District 7120 facilitator may be called in to help us with this long range planning process.
In order to have a more formalized procedure to gauge ad hoc funding requests, the Board is planning to draft a Funding Application Form that requestors will need to complete. It will include the criteria needed to be considered for club funding. This draft will go to the club for a vote before being adopted.
A new committee has been formed to update the Club By-Laws. The committee will consider changes suggested by new Rotary International guidelines for by-laws.
