Video conference using Zoom worked great. Much improved over the previous attempts. Dave Shaheen reports that the Irondequoit Rotary Foundation has received its tax exempt form. Anyone needing to purchase something for the Foundation should see Dave to get a copy so the purchase is exempt from NYS sales tax. Thanks, Dave! Membership update: Dave Long will be scheduled to be initiated (probably need to do so via upcoming video meeting conference call. Other good news: Elena DiPrima has indicated her intention to become a member. Lou and Louis can argue about who will be her sponsor. Elena's friend, Andrea Sauer is also applying for membership. Dan Dwyer told us of a local project among NYS distilleries & wineries to make hand sanitizer. Click HERE for more information. President Bob shared his use of sanitizer from Black Button distillery in Rochester. The club will look into ways of providing these products to those in need in our community. Another service project we will pursue is helping seniors in town who need to have food delivered. President Bob will contact Town Supervisor Dave Seeley to see how we may be able to help. Anyone with ideas how our club can provide services during the pandemic, please let President Bob know. |
