President Lynn kicked off her first meeting as President with a packed full business meeting agenda! Here are some of the highlights:
President Lynn shared that we received a Thank You note from Eagle Scout, Nik Smith. He will be presenting his project at the 7/7 meeting.
Lee Steinfeldt provided an update on Chris and Evie’s Playhouse. Bob Spatola and a volunteer carpenter finished boarding the ceiling and side walls for a smoother finish. Dormers still need reframing. There is still plenty of interior carpentry work needed. Lee has a volunteer artist when the playhouse is ready for painting. There was a discussion that the house needs to be locked. Ray was going to call the camp. Decision was made to “pause” on any additional work due to the summer heat and limited camping season. Lee will work with the team on next steps and budget.
President Lynn reviewed 2021-22 Club Position and Responsibility chart. There are still some positions open (need two more At-Large Board Directors and Meeting Program Coordinator). Lynn would like to create a Strategic Planning Committee. Review of bylaws would also be addressed by this team. If interested, please contact Lynn.
On to the budget – Kenn Van Dieren provided a 2020-21 fiscal year end update. Lynn reviewed the proposed 2021- 22 budget line items. There was a discussion that we need to include a line item for the Rotary signs which are outdated. There were “puts and takes” discussed that Lynn will update. The membership approved the budget.
New Members – Lily Lynch will be inducted soon, and Deb’s application is in the works.
