Meeting Notes
Business Meeting tonight.  Meeting notes by Terri Bastuk:

There was a great turnout for the March business meeting.  Committees provided the following updates -

Wine Auction - Dan shared that ticket sales are between good and very good and the revenue is at about $18-20k.  He also shared that there is a Rotarian-only raffle. Tickets are $5 a piece or five for $20.  These tickets are for two baskets - one of the high-end wines ($170 bottle from Napa) and the other of bourbon ($500 value).

Per a note from Tom yesterday - There will be a “Roarin’ 20’s” Raffle Night Party on Saturday, April 1, 7:00 – 10:00P. for the drawing. There will be plenty of wine, spirits, light snacks and great Rotary camaraderie served up. And it’s free to members of the five Rotarian Clubs.  The first drawing is at 8:30 PM. Location: Culver Road Plaza site.   (Former Key Bank, next to Subway). Please let Tom Kosanke know by Monday if you plan to attend so that we can plan appropriately.

Reverse draw - Lou shared in an email today that all but five tickets had been distributed - 15 more distributed since Wednesday night! Dinner is optional. For those attending the dinner, the cost is $55 per person.  The event is on May 25th at Ridgemont Country Club. Networking starts at 6 pm, dinner starts at 6:30 pm and drawdown starts at 7:30 pm.

Membership - Kim provided Lou with a new member application from Olivia Morgante, owner of Mosquito Shield.

Signature Project - Terri shared that she and Jim had a call with the County regarding a potential peace trial at either Durand or Eastman Lake.  She also shared that they were also meeting with the Head of DPW for the Town to discuss potential projects. The other potential project is Emma's House.  Debbie Evans is applying for the  501(c)3.

District Grant - Terri stated that she will check with the district about possibly supporting five resettled Ukrainian families residing in Irondequoit.  If it doesn't look promising, we will submit a grant for Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Catered Meals - Dan reviewed the rotating menu from Rubinos.  For those who eat, there is a charge of $12 per person on weeks 1 & 3 (Pizza, sub wraps chips, and salad). A $15 per person charge for weeks 2 & 4 (hot buffet - two entrees- salad and dessert).  There will be a member assigned as Steward to help with delivery, collecting money, and clean-up.  The trial is from April 5th until May 17th.

Financials - Jason provided a recap.  There is a need for those new members and/or other groups that have designated funds to let Kim and Jason know the status of the spending.  Jason agreed with the recommendations for a one-page financial summary. Any groups slated to receive budgeted financing need to be invited via the club sponsor.

Other updates - Kenn attended PETS. Dan was able to attend a portion of it.  Kenn shared that 75% of those who attended were AGs.  Three upstate districts, including ours, are going to merge into one.  Kim shared that we have already received a RYLA application and all three high schools have scholarship information. The interior of the playhouse needs to be furnished.  Ray will get suggestions from Camp Haccamo.  The playhouse does need a new flag. Perhaps the Veterans can include that in their project funds. The Latino Club has a potential project for our club to participate in.

Meeting time change:  Weekly Wednesday club meeting time has been changed back to the pre-Covid tradition of 6:15.
