Business Meeting. Dictionary Day today at St. Ambrose went well. The kids love getting their dictionaries. Pasta Dinner is upon us. Committees working tirelessly to sell tickets, procure foods, secure sponsorships, create publicity, and coordinate volunteers. President Bob figured out how to provide W9 statements for any donators who need them. See President Bob, Dave Shaheen, or Tom Kosanke if a sponsor requests a W9 from our Irondequoit Rotary foundation. See them also if you have someone wishing to donate more than $100, The kitchen cooks will try preparing "cold take-outs" to store for the case of someone really really needing takeouts after 4pm. This way it will not disrupt the food lines. 32 people have registered for Narcan Training next week at the St. Paul Fire Department at 433 Cooper Rd. Pizza 6:30 and training starts at 7pm. This will be in place of our regular Wednesday meeting. Our club board has decided to spend some of the money in the Pat Torre Memorial fund to adopt a kindergarten class and provide resources for an "art focused" project. Remaining money will go for a lasting memorial at Camp Haccamo associated with the Playhouse we will build. Jennie Gugino has prepared a draft press release that will go out in association with the Town Proclamation for our 35th Annual Pasta Dinner. This will go to the Irondequoit Post and Over 55 magazine. Treasurer Kenn Van Dieren reports that we are in fine shape from a financial perspective. No surprises. Holiday Basket committee of Terri Bastuk and Dom Fantauzzo have decided to move the money that was previously used for gift cards to buy specific needs for some families and support "Shop with a Cop." Kudos to Bob Spatola for stepping up to fill President Bob's role as cook during Pasta Dinner. Anyone have a step stool for Bob to be able to stir the sauce?? Also thanks to Bob Spatola for securing assistance moving materials needed for the Pasta Dinner from his old company and talking with Bishop Kearney about storage space. |
