President Dave presented the Website Award that our club won at the District Conference to Jim Kozlowski, our Club Webmaster.
Puerto Rico Water Project -- Dan Barletta of the Greece Rotary Club was the speaker. This is an international project focused on getting water to 3 villages in the mountainous areas of Puerto Rico that are still without water since Hurricane Maria hit in September 2017. Most of the coastal towns have water but not the villages in the mountains. Total amount needed for the project is $97,000 to drill wells and repair water infrastructure. Eleven clubs have pledged around $23,000 so far including San Juan club donating $4000. The project is a go and the Greece club is looking for any amount we can pledge to help out. Whatever is built will be sustained on a long term basis by the local communities as this is part of international grant requirements.
