Meeting Notes

Business Meeting tonight.

Changeover Dinner:  All set for next week and Glendoveers.  Buffet will include prime rib, Salmon, chicken, and Pasta.  1 hour open bar (that could mean trouble).

Irondequoit Lighthouse Garden:  Good turnout last week.  Thanks for all who helped out.  Mulch will be next and Dan will let us know when we'll need your help again!

4th of July Parade:  meet at 10am at highschool.

Table at Autism Tent:  We are sponsoring the Autism Tent at the 4th of July celebration at Town Hall.  We will have a table with info about our club.  See Lynn Wozniak to help out!  Need volunteers 8am-4pm on July 3 and 4.

Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA):  Still looking for candidates in Irondequoit to attend this leadership training offered free and sponsored by our club.

Monroe County Bike Rodeo:  received a nice thank you letter and photos of the event from Rich Tantalo.  Our club help sponsor that event that was very successful in training youth on bike safety.

We also received thank you letters from Irondequoit Garden Walk and Camp Haccamo for our support.

Irondequoit Garden Walk:  our Lighhouse Garden at SeaBreeze has been entered as well as Dan Dwyer's garden.  Event is July 20 from noon-4pm.  Party at Dan's House after for those who attend.

Bishop Kearney Kitchen Project:  not too late to make an individual donation to this project to update the BK kitchen that we use each year for our Pasta Dinner.  See Bob Scheidt or Dave Shaheen for more info.

Treasurer's Report:  Lynn Wozniak reviewed our year end financial position which is in great shape.  Admin budget came in $182 over budget (so Bob Scheidt stepped up and donated this amount.  Thanks Bob!).  We will soon be spending $5,000 for BK Kitchen Project and $4,000 for District Grant (Autism tent, T-ball equipment, Volleyball Equipment for Irondequoit Rec Center) but we have plenty more in the bank to cover these expenses.  Part of the District Grant payment will be restored once the project is complete and we are reimbursed by the District.  One of the Little Libraries we installed years ago needs to be replaced and the board approved this expenditure.  Many line items in rest of budget for next year were discussed and then the 25/26 Budget was approved by vote of the club.  Many thanks to Lynn for her hard work pulling this all together.  Discussion about updating the Sunshine Fund Policy ensued.  Tom Kosanke took action item to update policy and bring back to the board and club for approval.
