Lynn Wozniak presiding tonight for a Business Meeting Budget Discussion: Lynn presented detailed budget sheets outlining our club finances. Taxes have been filed and tax prep fees paid. Money allocated for the District Grant is being spent but need to make sure all expenses occur this fiscal year. Pasta Dinner revenues are looking to meet our goal so kudos to all involved! The club Board of Directors approved $200 each for Thanksgiving turkeys for the Boys & Girls Club and for Ida Mae's. Dave Shaheen and Ray Holla volunteered to pick up turkeys for Ida Mae's. Several members will meet with Town Supervisor to discuss potential project with the town as part of our long-term plan. Dictionary Project: Be at Lou DiPrima's House at 10am on Saturday, Nov 23rd to help label all the dictionaries. Many hands make light work! Shop With A Cop: Louis DiPrima says we are all set for Dec 7th. Look for a sign-up and more details soon. Louis and Lynn Wozniak will pick up Target Gift cards for the kiddos to purchase presents at Target with IPD officers. Volunteers needed to help gift wrap. 12 kids will be supported this year. Irondequoit Town Tree Lighting Event: Brandon Barnhart to lead our club participation at the Town Hall on Sunday December 1st at 4-7pm. Lou DiPrima will bring a tent and Rotary Display. Holiday Basket Packing Party: Dec 11th at 6PM at Camp Eastman. In addition to the standard food baskets, we will also support Steve Schwock and Lily Lynch's project by packing hygiene packages. Both will go to the Irondequoit Community Cupboard for needy families for the holidays. Next Wednesday, November 27th - there will be no meeting the night before Thanksgiving. Several members plan to meet at Nick's Seabreeze Inn for a social get-together. Polar Plunge is Feb 2nd. More details to follow. See Dan Dwyer for information. |
