Dom Fantauzzo was collecting donations for the Angels of Mercy Walk.  Please see Dom if you would like to contribute.

We are on a roll with membership.  After inducting Kim Miranda last week, we have learned that Dan Dywer, who was a member of the Rochester AM club, will be transferring to our club as our newest member.  Welcome Dan, and we hope you enjoy our club and look forward to you joining us.

New red Rotary shirts will be ordered for new members and anyone wanting an update.  Please see President Bob if you want a shirt.

No meeting on August 14th in lieu of Carnival Night at Camp Haccamo the following evening of Thursday, August 15th.

Program Notes
Lynn Wozniak told us a little about herself.  She has been a Rotarian since 2011.  She transferred to our club from the Colonie-Guilderland club near Albany.  She was very active there involved in such activities as being a host family to exchange students and running a large yard sale as their main fundraiser.  Lynn is married to Paul, has 4 children and 2 grandchildren.  She grew up in the northern Lower Peninsula on Lake Michigan in a little town called Empire (pop. less than 400).  Town is actually included in a National park.  Great slideshow with an introduction to this very scenic area including beautiful Petoskey stone samples which are fossilized coral from Lake Michigan.  Grew up a Packers fan as Green Bay is directly across the lake.  Lynn grew up in a large family and keeps in close touch with all her siblings who are scattered all over the US.  Her ancestors were Homesteaders who started and ran a large farm.  Her grandfather started a phone company and eventually got bought out by larger companies.  Lynn likes to walk her Pitbull Terrier as everyone gives her plenty of room to walk.  She is very active on her Church here in Irondequoit.
