Meeting Notes
President Dave updated the club on our Thursday, May 30th Reverse Draw Fundraiser at Ridgemont Country Club.   Kudos to Lee Steinfeldt for creating the tickets and elegant invitations.

Everybody last year requested that we upgrade from the Church Hall to a more enhanced setting with a Club chef and professional staff to make it more of a elegant social event. The ballroom at Ridgemont C.C. is spacious with a stage for the drawing, Rotary colored linens and napkins, and includes the outdoor patio overlooking the golf course vista. (Note the Club is just 4 miles straight out the Ridge from Kodak Park)

The $40 meal price for Carved Prime Rib, Chicken French and Pasta with salad, coffee service and elegant desserts are held at the same price as last year at St. Josephat's  (Note the 1 hr free beer bar is now all cash bar)... Also note that the cocktails start at 6pm (not 5 pm).

The staff have been very accommodating, waiving the room and bartending fees, negotiating reasonable meal prices per person, providing an upgrade on dessert to Italian Cookies and petite fours. Ridgemont was also kind to furnish a $100.00 restaurant gift certificate as one of the prizes.

Need all members support to sell tickets!!!!!!!!

The idea is to make sure our 28 members sell all 100 - $100 tickets to create a $10,000 pool of funds. the plan is to have the same $4000 end grand prize and perhaps another $500 in consolation prizes and hopefully retain $5000-$5500 to earmark for our Camp Haccamo Playhouse project.

Lee has finalized invitations for you and has printed the 100 numbered tickets for you for tonight's meeting so we have 4 1/2 weeks to promote this great event ticket sales.

Please email or call President Dave your early ticket needs and special # requests, and he will personally deliver tickets and invites to you by Monday to launch this worthwhile project.

Let's get behind this and make it our best and most fun Reverse ever!

Bob Scheidt is attending the District Conference this upcoming weekend in the Poconos.  Best wishes for a fun and informational conference.

Peter Mendick announced that the Memorial Service for Dom Fiore is May 10th.  More info to follow.

Terri Bastuk announced that the Day of Caring at Allwood Home is cancelled.  I guess they don't need the help this year.

The Installation Dinner for Bob Scheidt's administration will be June 26th at the Lodge at Penfield Town Hall.  To keep costs low, Bob is asking members to bring any liquid refreshments they want and he will provide ice and mixers.  On June 23rd at 2pm, Bob invites all members to his house to help make antipasto for the Install Dinner.

VP Bob is also looking for ideas for big projects next year.  There has been interest in doing an international project.  Let VP Bob know your ideas and he will discuss with the Board for funding those ideas that gather the most interest.

Lee Steinfeldt reported that the applications for the high school scholarship candidates for all 3 Irondequoit schools are in and the committee will select recipients next week.

Program Notes
Our very own Rocco Leone is honored to serve as Camp Haccamo's new President.  The Haccamo Foundation is healthy but could always use new sources of funding.  The biggest need right at the moment is for people to serve on Haccamo's Board of Directors.  2 Club members are needed per each of the 16 clubs that now support Haccamo.  Votes could not be taken at several recent Board meetings because of lack of attendance.  Also needed is a person with experience in grant writing.  See Rocco if you know someone.  Happy to report that the Adult weekend is all filled - shows how much the Camp is needed.  There was a cleanup duty last weekend but suffered from bad weather.  Another date will be needed so be on the lookout for that date from Rocco.

The 7th Annual Camp Haccamo Car, Truck and Cycle Show is Saturday, June 1st at 8am - 12am.  It is held at The Mall at Greece Ridge.  Please attend and please register cars if you have one to show.  Click here for show flyer.

There is a Wine Tasting event this weekend at RIT called "Raise Your Glass".  Rocco and Dan Dwyer, from the Rochester AM club spoke about the need for volunteers for this Sunday to help pour wine and clean glasses.  See Rocco for times that you can help out.  Volunteers will be given leftover wine bottles to use for Camp Haccamo fundraising.
