Bob Scheidt will be displaying his musical and vocal skills at an upcoming event: Harmony House, Webster Saturday October 5th between 7-10pm (likely closer to 9pm). Irondequoit Rotary Foundation Board met today and will meet again in December. The board is starting a review and plans to amend the bylaws to meet current situations. The main mission and purpose will not change but some detailed administrative points will be refined. Eastridge HS has a Homecoming Festival Saturday, Sept 28 from 10-1pm at the high school. We will attend to promote our club. Financial Report: Lynn Wozniak presented detailed reports on club finances which are in great shape. Cash on hand has been put into a higher % CD. Budget is split into three pieces: Administrative, Fundraising, and Pass-Through. Administrative piece struggles each year to break-even as costs have increased. Will need a slight dues increase next year to help. Other ideas to help increase Administrative revenues: (1) Add an incentive for members to attend meetings (e.g., money back from dues if over 65% attendance) (2) Obtain "sponsors" for some of our events (3) Use donations from members for Admin expenses if so directed (4) Use interest from CD for admin expenses. The budget was approved by club vote. Great job Lynn! President Greg is looking at our club's participation into District 7120's Peace Pole initiative. More details to come soon. |
