Meeting Notes
Tonight was our first "Hybrid" Meeting where several members met in person at Tasteful Connections and several members joined via a Zoom video.  Given it was our first try, everything worked great!  Tasteful Connections is a very nice venue and the meal and service was excellent so the club will continue at this venue for the foreseeable future.  Meetings will therefore continue to be held as tonight:  5:30 Tasteful Connections room and bar service begin 6:15 Meeting kickoff followed by dinner  6:45 Zoom meeting begins and club programs start.

Big Welcome to Michelle Powderly, daughter of Kim Miranda, who was our guest this evening and has expressed an interest in joining our club!  Michelle is a social worker at Fresenius Kidney Care.   Welcome Michelle, and we hope Rotary becomes as important in your life as it has in ours!

Pasta Dinner Planning was the main focus of our meeting.  The event will be drive though only on November 1st at Bishop Kearney.  Many subcommittees have been formed and are actively pushing forward.  Tickets are being distributed now.  Sponsorship form letters will be sent out to members along with format for sponsor (those buying 10 tickets for $100) recognition entries into the booklet that will be handed out to each car coming through the drive-thru.  Lynn Wozniak will handle all incoming money, ticket receipts, sign info and then pass this onto Treasurer Kenn Van Dieren.  We will also sell "cone" signs for sponsors to purchase and advertise their business.  The cone signs may also be used to show the community efforts our club supports.  Lots of good energy and please look to emails from Bob Scheidt for more detailed info on all things related to Pasta Dinner planning.

Several members will be visiting the Rochester Community Inclusive Rowing boathouse this Saturday at 9am.  Later that day, several members also have signed up to help with making bunkbeds for Sleep in Heavenly Peace.  Please see President Tom's emails on these events.

Program Notes
Linda Evans from Irondequoit Community Cupboard (ICC) was our speaker tonight via Zoom.  Things there are very busy due to Covid-19 and resulting unemployment and virtual schools.  She has seen an increase of over 300% in need especially from seniors who also are staying away from grocery stores.  This also has increased the need to deliver food for many.  Over 69,000 meals have been served this year already. This year, ICC's annual Back to School Supply night is being held at the new DPW Department. This is so people do not have to leave their cars and they can put the school supplies right in car trunks.
