Business Meeting tonight. Budget review: President Bob is attempting to replicate the budget used last year for starting point for this year. Bob Scheidt stepped up during the meeting to help out with the Treasurer position until the end of this fiscal year in June. First job will be to solidify a budget for the rest of this year and to complete the reconciliation process started by President Bob. Revenues and expenses are as expected so far and we are in good shape financially - similar to previous years. District Simplified Grant (DSG) discussion: Need a proposal developed for the DSG which is due in April. Potential proposals were identified: Drug Free Irondequoit: Together, Angels of Mercy, Stephen's Closet, and the Backpack Program. Over next month, we will solidify concrete proposals for each and the club will decide path forward. Need a chairperson for the Reverse Draw Down Dinner held in the spring. Please see President Bob if interested. Dinner Venue: lots of discussion regarding a "long-term" meeting venue. A motion was made by Bob Scheidt which outlined a logical strategy and a process to move forward in making a decision. This process was approved by a club vote. The Rotary street signs in Irondequoit still show us meeting at Keenan's. Jim Kozlowski suggested to change our street signs to point to our website for the club meeting location so we do not have to change the signs every time we change meeting venue. No decision was made on that proposal. Rocco Leone: he is looking for volunteers to help marketing Camp Haccamo. Please see Rocco if interested. John and Peter Mendick are Irondequoit Chamber Business Persons of the Year. Congratulations to John and Peter! See Dave Shaheen for tickets for the Chamber dinner on January 26th at the Rochester Yacht Club or sign up online by clicking here. |
