Meeting Notes
Membership Update:  Dr. Aaron Johnson induction will be July 22nd meeting.

Backpack Program:  The backpacks will be delivered in 5 days and Bob Scheidt will host a packing party on Saturday, July 25 at 10am at his house.  Please see Bob to RSVP.  Bags must be completed by August 4th.  Money donations will be accepted to offset the cost to the club for supplies that will be packed.

July 29th is a GO for the Installation Dinner at the Strathallan.  Limit is 50 people max which should work out.  Tom will be collecting RSVP's.

Our annual Steak Roast aka "Bocce Night" will be August 19th at Camp Eastman.  Lou DiPrima will take RSVP's and again our maximum limit is 50 people due to Coronavirus.

Les Kaszuba is working to create an Irondequoit Rotary mask that can be included in the backpacks or purchased by members.  Cost is still high at $14 per so Les is still looking at other options.  There is a generic Rotary mask "People of Action" available from Russell Hampton ($10 per mask with quantity discounts e.g., 100 @ $5).  Russell Hampton also offers customized masks and Jim Kozlowski has sent them an email requesting more information.

Program Notes
Dave Vedro, Director of Business Solutions Institute at Roberts Wesleyan College presented the SCARF model of Change Management.  The Business Solutions Institute seeks to become the trusted advisor to all businesses through its Community of Businesses Model. They do this by providing customized, immediately relevant business solutions that not only add value to the bottom line, but positively develop the organization’s most precious resources – its people.  The SCARF model is based on the idea that people's response to Threats is greater than their response towards rewards.  You must consider a person's needs regarding Status. Certainty, Autonomy. Relatedness, and Fairness when managing them.  Change can impact all these needs and it is managements job to create an atmosphere where these needs are in a "green" state (focused on rewards) as opposed to a "red" state (focused on threats).  Excellent presentation of material that can be used for many situations in life even outside of business.  Attachments from Dave Vedro:  (1) Presentation (2) SCARF Summary (3) SCARF pdf

Contributions/Fines
Both Dave Shaheen and Kenn Van Dieren had successful medical procedures this week!  Norb Rappl also had good news from his doctor!  Andrea Sauer is enjoying her vacation at the lake but still called in.  Lots of folks enjoyed 4th of July coffee and donuts at the DiPrima househhold.  B.J. Cunningham, Lee Steinfeldt, and Les Kaszuba celebrated birthdays.  Jason Miller enjoyed his time at Sodus Bay over the 4th and still has all 10 fingers.  Lynn Wozniak had more than bargained for with building a play set for her granddaughter.  Good to hear that Installation Dinner and Bocce Night will go on this year.  Les Kaszuba reminds everyone to SHOP LOCALLY to support our town of Irondequoit small businesses.
