Business Meeting tonight. HAPPY St. Patrick's Day! Jack Best (Penfield Rotary) and Dan Dwyer thanked our club for all our support for the ROC CITY UnCorked auction held in February. Lots of success all around. All goals met or exceeded. Budget: Treasurer Kenn Van Dieren reports that our bank accounts are in good shape and ready for some annual distributions to be made. No Issues with finances. District Grant: Terri Bastuk, President Tom, and Lynn Wozniak are weighing several options for this year's project and will decide soon to meet the grant deadlines. Drawdown dinner: weighing all the options, it looks best if we pursue a VIRTUAL Drawdown Dinner this year. Less risk to do it this way due to Covid-19. President Tom will convene a committee meeting soon to pull together details and will share with club before finalizing plans. President Elect Lynn Wozniak has the core of her leadership team for next year: Kim Miranda (President Elect), Jason Miller (Treasurer), and Terri Bastuk (Secretary - the sophomore edition). Congrats to all who stepped up for these important positions. Meeting Venue: President Tom received mixed results on his survey for meeting venue options with a split among members wanting to stay virtual, start in-person, or hybrid. We will stay virtual for the time being and as more members become vaccinated, we will survey again to see if there are enough members to support dining at Tasteful Connections. Earth Day is April 17th and the District is looking for volunteers to clean up our waterways. President Tom will send out info so we can better determine whether our club has enough volunteers to participate. B.J. Cunningham reports that all 287 St Ann's residents were treated with St. Patty's Day cookies that our club provided. Pictures and info has been shared on facebook with over 4000 impressions. President Tom sent out an email on upcoming District Training on April 10th. Please see his email. President Tom reviewed the roles and responsibilities of club leadership roles and encouraged all members to become involved. No job is too big because we are all here to help those taking on the added responsibilities. New jobs broaden your knowledge of Rotary and are fulfilling because you help out club members or the local/international community. A new project was discussed: Archive Project to capture the history of the club and preserve it for safekeeping. See President Tom if you are interested in helping out on this project. |
