Meeting Notes
Carl Ceccanti Induction:  Doug Decker performed the induction ceremony for Carl Ceccanti.  Carl works at RGE NYSEG Rebate Program and lives in Irondequoit.  Carl's fiance Mary Jo also attended.  Jim Kozlowski is Carl's sponsor.  Welcome Carl!

Camp Haccamo:  Ray Holla was presented with a $25,000 check from the Mendick Foundation for Camp Haccamo!  Ray expressed his deep appreciation from himself and the Haccamo Board for all that John and Peter have done for Camp Haccamo over the years.  What a generous donation that will go a long way in continuing to offer a free camping experience for children and young adults with disabilities and well deserved respite for their care-givers.  Thank you so much, John and Peter Mendick!

Board Meeting Notes:  The Board approved a program ad with the Eastridge Lancers Marching Band for $125.  We now have a new Memorial and Sunshine Policy and Bob Spatola is the Committee Chairman who will administer this policy.  Bob will make sure that any past family members missed receiving a memorial will be remembered with a donation and a card.  Thank you Bob for stepping up for this position.  Lynn Wozniak reports that finances are in good shape, all info will soon be sent for audit by our CPA firm, and that 2 members still need to see her for dues!

Bocce & Steak Roast:   Next Wednesday, August 27th at Camp Eastman at 6pm.  $30 per adult.  Children free.  Please let Lou DiPrima know if you are attending so he can order the correct number of steaks.

Membership:  New member inducted tonight.  Welcome Carl!  A potential new member stopped by our booth at National Night Out and Lou DiPrima is following up with him.

Programs:  Two potential programs :  Sal Abbasey will coordinate a date for Newbrough Piano Academy and Dan Dwyer is looking to have Camp Day Dream to do programs.

Veteran's  Bench at Durand Eastman Park:  Bob Spatola talked with his contact at Monroe County and things are progressing with design specs for replacing the concrete pad that will hold the new bench that has already been delivered.

Board of Elections Touchscreen Voting Booth Demonstration:  Joey Pierleoni set up September 24th at the Community Center for the demonstration of new voting machines.  Posters to adverrtise the event will be set up around town.  The demo will run from 9am-6pm and we will have an informal meeting that night at the demo from 5pm-6pm.  Water and cookies will be provided.  Dinner after at a place to be determined!

City of Rochester Rotary Clubs are holding a UNITE FOR GOOD service project.  They will be painting the Open Door Mission on 9/12 and 9/13.  See BROCHURE if you can volunteer.   First 30 Rotarians signing up get a free t-shirt.
