Herb Gauch, Rotary Foundation Area 10 Director, presented President Bob with a check for $1,500. The check was for a District Simplified Grant that our club received to support our Backpack program with Irondequoit Community Cupboard. Terri Bastuk spearheaded the program and coordinated securing the grant from the District. Herb was very thankful of our club's continuous support for the Foundation and appreciated the work we are doing with the Backpack project.
Dom Fantauzzo is asking for volunteers to show up at Durand Eastman cabin this coming Wednesday at 5pm to help unload the materials for the food baskets. Also, he will have a final report on the Pasta Dinner soon. Look for it in email. Overall, he thinks we will clear $16,500 profit that will go to support all our next year charity work.
Jim Kozlowski reviewed our club's new website, eBulletin, and mobile application from Clubrunner. Clubrunner is associated with Rotary International so everything they do is integrated with Rotary and with the District 7120.
The first thing all members should do is go to theIrondequoit Rotary Website (www.irondequoitrotary.org) and click on "Member Login" on the top right of the home page. If you do not know your Login Name or Password, click on the "New and existing users: retrieve login and/or reset password" line on the bottom of the input box. This will walk you through the steps to get your Login name and setting up a password. Only our club members have access and this is based on your email that is registered with Rotary. Once you are set up with a Login Name and Password, go to the website home page and again in the upper right, click on "Member Area." Once in the Member Area, you can Click on "Edit My Profile" to make any adds or changes to your profile. This profile is used by the website, eBulletin, and Clubrunner Mobile App for identifying member contact information, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. It also is helpful in serving as an online club directory.
The new website has many features: (1) Website Manager (that Jim uses to update the website), (2) Member Directory, (3) E-mail Message Center, (4) eBulletin, (5) Event Planner, (6) Volunteer Management, (6) Attendance Manager, and (7) Sponsorship capability that allows us to sell ad space on our website. All this can be overwhelming but we will use features slowly over time and introduce aspects to club members over time. The nice feature is that when anyone updates the Rotary database in the Member Area, all that information becomes available to be used automatically in the website or the eBulletin. Private info is always ONLY available to club members.
The Clubrunner mobile app is available to all club members to download to their smart phone. Sorry all you flip phone people!! Go to your app store on your smart phone and download the Clubrunner app for free. You will need the same above Login Name and Password to connect this app to our club's information. Once on your phone, use the app to get quick access to (1) Member Directory, (2) Event Calendar, (2) Club Executive List, (3) Our Published club stories, and (4) Club meeting information.
Anyone needing help with any of this, please see Jim.
