Meeting Notes
Treasurer Jason Miller says it's now OK to Venmo him your Contributions/Fine money.  He will then write checks into our Club Bank Account.

President Lynn received Thank You letters from Camp Haccamo, Bishop Kearney and Sunset House for our donations.

Bob Scheidt sent out the Final Pasta Dinner report in an email.  It was a great success all around.  He thanked all for their contributions and the club thanked him for his leadership.  Earnings increased 9% over previous year which was a record at the time.  See Bob's email for details.

PLEASE FILL OUT THE STRATEGIC PLANNING SURVEY THAT PRESIDENT LYNN SENT OUT BEFORE THE END OF THIS WEEK.  It is important to hear from everyone in the club before we start making strategic planning decisions based on the survey results.

Tom Kosanke reported that our club donated $600 to Camp Haccamo as a result of our club's sales of wine/spirits from the Raise A Glass Foundation.  This was in addition to the amount sent from other clubs separately.  2022 Planning for RAGF events:
  1.  Craft Beer Competition is still on for Feb. 12-13.  Cider will be combined with Wine/Spirits Competition.
    • Rotarian volunteers needed
    • RIT Inn/Conference Center
    • Lots of discussion about the ability to have the competition with the current state of COVID and will there be enough volunteers.
  2. Wine/Spirits/Cider Competition scheduled for April 23-24.
  3. Future Wine/Spirits Auction - - not scheduled at this time.
2022 District Grant project:  See Terri Bastuk with any ideas for a grant project this year.  Total project cost is usually around $3000 ($1500 from District, $1500 from our club).

President Lynn is looking to our Veteran Committee to submit ideas for a Veteran's project this year.

For Valentine's Day, our club will be sending Valentine's Day Cards to the residents of the Legacy at Cranberry Landing.  This is in addition to cookies and carnations like we did last year.  Please see B.J. Cunningham if you would like to help with the cards.

SPEAKERS NEEDED for upcoming meetings.  Remember, since we are on Zoom, the speakers can be from ANYWHERE so please be creative.  Send any ideas to Kim Miranda.

Program Notes
Charles Bollinger is Coordinator of the Partner Ending Homelessness (Rochester/Monroe County).  Partners Ending Homelessness (PEH) is the primary planning and coordinating body for homeless housing and services in Monroe County, NY.   The county receives around $12.8M per year from HUD to accomplish their mission.  The organization runs an annual Point in Time count of the homelessness one day each year in January.  This year the count will be Thursday, January 27th.  The count is done in the winter because there are less people out in the cold and more in shelters which makes the count easier.  Volunteers are needed to do the count.  A training is required for volunteers and experienced personnel run each shift of counters.  Donations are also being accepted to fill the gift bags that are handed out to the homeless during the count (travel size items - hygiene, granola bars, blankets, gloves, etc.).  Over the last several years, an average of 47 unsheltered homeless have been counted along with 750 sheltered homeless.  In 2021,  PEH worked with or housed on average total of 2199 people and 1482 adults in Monroe County.  Please contact Charles Bollinger if you would like to volunteer or donate.
Contributions/Fines
Many contributions for:  Barbone & DiPrima Family, Pasta Dinner success, and our Speaker tonight.  Debbie Renna-Hynes is recovering from Covid and grandson had a successful surgery.  Terri Bastuk celebrated a BIG birthday this week.  Tom Kosanke helped sell off part of his company.  Bob Scheidt honored his father-in-law's one-year anniversary of passing and is in process of selling father-in-law's Pittsford residence.  Kenn Van Dieren had a scary dream about being drafted in the army at his present age - boot camp would be interesting!
